How to connect Xbox360 to a home theater system.?
I want to connect my xbox360 to my new JVC TH-G30 home theater system, but I`m not sure how to do it. I currently have the 360 hooked to my LCD TV using component cables to get a hi-def picture. If I connect my 360 to the JVC system using standard RCA cables and then connect the JVC system to the TV using HDMI cables will I still get the same hi-def picture I`m getting now? Is there any way to keep my 360 component cables connected to the TV for hi-def picture but connect the 360 audio cables to the JVC for surround sound at the same time? The JVC system does have a Digital Optical audio input so that would be another consideration. Thanks.
Yeah, you could just connect the video cables to your tv and the audio cables to your sound system. Use the optical input if you want 5.1 surround sound. You won't get a HD picture if you connect your Xbox to your system using RCA cables.

New Plasma with older Dvd Home Theater System, blue/yellow picture - no green or red? Is it user error?
Good Morning all,
I just got a new Panasonic Plasma - 1080 resolution and have an older (5years) JVC Home Theater that is hooked up with the Red, Blue, Green cable. Have the cable running into a DVR (RCA) that runs into the DVD Player that runs into the TV. The picture on the DVR is good, even the recorded stuff - the picture on the TV is phenomenal (even picked up more channels!) - the picture on the DVD is ok - but, only vivid blues and yellow - no green or red. Tried to adjust the tv picture and it has NO affect on the DVD picture, also - has a buzzing sound when I have the volume up on the tv. Is my player too old? Is there a fix? Is it something with the tv? Any ideas?

I agree with the other posters. Sounds like you have plugged component video cables into a composite audio/video connection. Consult your manual, or if necessary, your salesperson for help in getting the hookup right.
